Marriott, Universal Music Group Form Partnership For Concerts, Events With Top Acts

NEW YORK, NY - Marriott is entering the music business, so to speak.

The chain said Thursday it is the relationship with Universal Music Group in a society in which some of the top stars of the musical conglomerate will be presented in the Marriott chain hotels and other branding opportunities.

It is the latest move as several hotel chains join stars of music to attract customers with concerts and events with major acts of members of special rewards.

Marriott goes a step further with what he calls an association, "the first of its kind" with Universal, whose acts range from Kanye West, U2, Taylor Swift and Sam Smith, for concerts, offering music downloads, video series , concert tickets and other incentives. Marriott also offers special opportunities VIP members without having to take advantage of their points.

The association starts next week as Jessie J performed in the St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel.
